Eko Hot Blog reports that Veteran actor, Amaechi Muonagor, has died, throwing Nollywood into mourning again.
The actor reportedly died on Sunday at 61.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that Muonagor died from complications of a kidney failure.
His demise came a few days after he appealed to the public for funds to undergo a kidney transplant in India.
In a viral video, the actor was seen lying on a bed and beside him was his colleague Kingsley Orji, who made an emotional appeal on his behalf.
Muonagor, a native of Idemili in Anambra State, southeast Nigeria, was born on August 20, 1962.
In 1989, after his youth service, Muonagor started working for the News Agency of Nigeria. He left his job a few years later for an acting role in his first movie as Akunatakasi in Taboo 1, a Nigerian movie.

In 2016, he was nominated for AMVCA 2017 Best Actor in Comedy.
His death came less than a month after the demise of popular actors: John Okafor, better known as Mr. Ibu and Tolani Quadri Oyebamiji, better known as Sisi Quadri.
