EKO HOT BLOG reports that Peter Enahoro, a veteran Nigerian journalist and renowned columnist, has passed away.
Enahoro, popularly known by his pen name, Peter Pan, died in London, the United Kingdom (UK) on Monday, aged 88.
The news was announced in a terse statement by popular journalist, Ms Bunmi Sofola.
“Regret to announce the passing on of our iconic journalist Peter Enahoro “Peter Pan” today in London at the age of 88. RIP.”
“Also known by the pen name of “Peter Pan” because of his popular column in New African magazine under that name. He has been described as ‘perhaps Africa’s best-known international journalist’,” Sofola said.
Born January 21, 1935, Enahoro was a journalist, author, businessman and publisher.
The late columnist was a trailblazer in Nigerian journalism and achieved the position of editor at the Daily Times at a remarkably young age.
