Ibrahim Tukur, a Vice Principal of a secondary school in Rimi Local Government Area of Katsina State, has been apprehended
He was taken into custody by the police for impregnating one of the students at the school.
The twelve-year-old girl gave birth to a baby from pregnancy.
The spokesman for the Police Command, SP Gambo Isah, declared to the media during the parade that the vice-principal had been arrested. on January 9, 2021, Further to an incident report at Rimi Divisional Police headquarters by one Ibrahim Sani.
Tukur, along with other suspects, marched at the Katsina Police Command headquarters on Wednesday, EKO HOT BLOG gathered.
All suspected rape-related suspects have been detained between 9 and 14 January 2021.
Spokesman, Gambo Isah disclosed that the Vice Principal took advantage of the girl to impregnate her.
He said, “The vice-principal, married to three wives, took the daughter out of the schol. to his house where he had sexual intercourse with her.. Consequently, he got her pregnant and gave birth to a baby through a C-section.”
Other suspects paraded included Auwal Hamzat and Sulaiman Abubakar who were alleged to have engaged in anal sex with three boys who were children of their neighbours.
The neighbours reported the incident to the police leading to their arrest.
SP Isah urged parents to be watchful and monitor their children very well to avoid being sexually molested.
He said, “The Commissioner of Police is worried, so also are we at the Command, over the recent upsurge in cases of rape. We are working in synergy with other stakeholders including traditional rulers, religious leaders, the state government and the media to rid Katsina of rape and other crimes.”
