The victims of the Maiduguri market inferno have been given N60m consolation fund by the Borno state government.
The Deputy Governor of the state Usman Kadafur, disclosed this to newsmen on Friday at the flagging off the cash distribution in Maiduguri.
It could be recalled that an inferno had occurred in the GSM market on October 31, in Maiduguri, Borno state.
The Deputy Governor noted that the move was to ease the burden of the victims of the inferno who lost their sources of livelihood.

He said that the government had prioritized attention in enhancing wealth and job creation through programmes and policies that would impact positively on the people.
He also urged them to be law-abiding and support the government in the development of the state.
