Victor Boniface Hospitalised After Car Accident In Germany

Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface escaped with minor injuries following a car accident on Saturday evening.

Earlier in the day, the Nigerian forward had scored the decisive goal in Leverkusen’s 2-1 Bundesliga victory over Eintracht Frankfurt.

Later, the 23-year-old was hospitalized after the Mercedes he was traveling in was involved in a serious crash.

Leverkusen confirmed Boniface sustained only minor hand injuries. According to reports from Bild (via Mirror), the striker is “doing well under the circumstances.”

Boniface shared photos and a video of his damaged car on Instagram, including a bloodied hand and a hospital selfie captioned, “Thank you Lord.”

On Sunday, he posted, “God is the greatest” and “God says my time hasn’t come.”

It’s understood Boniface wasn’t driving the vehicle but was heading to Frankfurt airport to pick up friends.
