Lagos State Government through the Safety Commission has sealed another under construction building in Nnamdi Azikwe road, Lagos Island for allegedly violating building laws of the state.
Ekohotblog reports that the sealing occurred during the safety awareness campaign walk tagged ‘keep safe, stay alive.
In recent time, there have been series of collapsed buildings across the state due to illegal development and using of substandard materials by developers.
Lanre Mojola, safety Director General said the state government would not spare any owners of structures not complying with the state.
He said the building has too many hazards such as workers not wearing safety helmets and working from heights.
Lanre warned that any worker found working on a building sealed off by the agency would be prosecuted.
The DG however, appealed to the public, especially developers, to support the agency in achieving the policy thrust of the Babajide Sanwo-Olu government.
