The chairman of Nigeria Diaspora Commission, NIDCOM, has called the attention of the public to the unfair treatment meted out her and thecommission by the minister of communication, Isa Pantami.
In a two minute long video posted on YouTube, Dabiri-Erewa said the minister asked gun-toting men to evict her and the commission’s staff from the apartment it used as office.
She disclosed that she was in Ethiopia when the forceful eviction happened and thought it to be a joke until she returned to the country and saw for herself.
She said personal effects, tools and gadgets of staff members of the commission were locked up, which was impeding operation of commission.
She added that the said building was given to the commission by a national communication commission, NCC, a government agency that regulates the activities of telecommunication companies.
