[VIDEO] COVID-19: Drama As Woman Repeatedly Slaps Police Officer Enforcing Lockdown
There was palpable tension in Eruwa, in Ibarapa local government of Oyo State, on Saturday after a woman repeatedly slapped a policeman trying to enforce the dusk to dawn Curfew imposed on the state.
The governor of Oyo state, Seyi Makinde, had imposed the curfew as part of the state effort to curb the spread of the virulent COVID-19 disease.

The governor had said the state could not afford a total Lockdown because of the economic and social implication of such move.
But in seeming surreal occurrence on Saturday, a woman and a policeman trying to enforce lockdown in the state became embroiled in a one sided brawl.
In a video obtained by Eko Hot Blog, the woman, who runs a small stall where she sells retail grocery items, claimed the police officer slapped her first while she was eating, hence her rebellious behaviour.
The woman, who spoke in Yoruba, accused the officer of overarching and domineering behaviour, saying the government did not ask the police to invade the privacy of residents in the name of enforcing curfew, as she was in house.

The woman was seen holding the lapel of the polo shirt of the officer, nearly grabbing him by the scruff of the neck, while dishing out slaps and pouring invectives and expletives on the man.
Frustration nearly boiled over when other officers at the scene, obviously infuriated and embarrassed by the situation, threatened to assault the woman and unleash terror, but police man being harassed called for calm and doused the tension, saying ‘I don’t want violence’
Despite the violent, aggressiveness and condemnable behaviour of the woman, the police man maintained a calm and composed disposition, not for once did he retaliate or hit back at the woman.
Before long, residents of the area had converged at the scene, with some saying the woman went overboard with her actions, they asked her to let go of the officer.
