Professor Abayomi said the commission is aware of the video and has directed HEFAMAA to get credible information on the allegations by deploying its team to monitor the facility.
“We are aware of a viral video alleged to have originated from the founder of Optimal Care Cancer Centre and I have directed HEFAMAA to investigate it and report back”, he explained.
The Commissioner assured the public that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu administration will not tolerate any form of sexual abuse in the state.
He stated that the facility will be sanctioned if it violated any extant laws or refused to comply with the set standards.
“In accordance with the State Government’s zero tolerance for sexual abuse and violence, the matter will also be referred by HEFAMAA to the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency for appropriate action that may be warranted”, he stated.
Professor Abayomi, enjoined members of the state to join the Government in its fight against unprofessional conduct in the health sector so as to safeguard the health and well-being of the citizens.
