Through his X handle, he shared a video on Sunday, January 21, 2024, providing a glimpse of the renovations in progress.
The governor expressed the government’s commitment to investing in facilities that not only nurture talent but also unite communities, stating
“The ongoing transformation of the Teslim Balogun stadium in Surulere is our government’s commitment to investing in facilities that nurture talent and bring communities together,” he said.
Major aspects of the renovation include cladding, roof covering, track replacement, and upgrades to the VIP Lounge, players’ dressing lounge, and the pitch.
Sanwo-Olu emphasized that these improvements at the Teslim Balogun Stadium are geared towards creating a world-class sporting arena.
The governor expressed that the comprehensive makeover aligned with the State’s vision for Lagos sport.
He said, “This aligns with our vision for Lagos – a city where sports thrive, offering hope and entertainment.”
