In a shocking turn of events, a once-content couple’s decision to relocate from their cozy two-bedroom flat in Okota to the affluent Lekki Phase 1 has taken a distressing toll on their marriage.

According to the wife, the couple, who initially enjoyed peace and happiness in their new Island residence, is now grappling with the aftermath of newfound wealth.

“We only know peace and happiness in that home for the first one month of our relocating to the Island,” she said in a viral video.

The husband, having secured a substantial sum through a lucrative contract, has undergone a drastic transformation that has left his wife in a state of deep concern.

Formerly averse to the nightlife scene, the husband has reportedly embraced a lifestyle filled with late-night clubbing and an alarming association with a new circle of friends. Despite the financial windfall, there are growing fears that the money is being frittered away with little to no investment in tangible assets.

“My husband is seriously not investing the money in anything tangible. Husband is at the verge squandering every profit he made from that contract,” she bewailed.

What was once a harmonious relationship has now become strained, with the husband exhibiting signs of secrecy and detachment.

The wife, now feeling like a stranger in her own home, has observed concerning changes in his behavior, including an alarming involvement in drug use with his band wagons.

“Rita, I am so scared, I do not know what to do, and I do not know who to talk to because my husband has stopped talking to his family,” she lamented in an apparent reference to her friend.
