VIDEO: Tony Elumelu Becomes Barber As COVID-19 Forces Him To Take Up New Profession

Tony Elumelu, chairman of the United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, has decided to add new skill set to his immeasurable experience and knowledge.

The business Magnate on Tuesday shared a video of himself giving his son a new haircut.

In the short video posted on his Instagram page on Tuesday, the popular entrepreneur and philanthropist seen seen deftly holding a clipper while cutting his son’s hair.

In a terse post accompanying the video, the 57-year-old economist reflected on how the coronavirus pandemic — which had forced people to stay at home — made him “multi-skilled.”

“After Madam braided the girls’ hair, my turn to cut the boys’ hair! COVID-19 is making us multi-skilled. #TOEWay #Family #ElumeluBoys,” he wrote.

Elumelu widely known and celebrated his numerous contributions to the empowerment of people, especially the youths across the continent.

He is the founder of Tony Elumelu Foundation, an African private-sector-led philanthropy empowering African entrepreneurs to create jobs in the continent.

In March, he emerged the only Nigerian in the 2020 Ebony Power 100 list, which recognises influential individuals who are making a difference in the African-American community.
