Eko Hot Blog reports that a UK-based Nigerian lady, Akorede has taken to the internet to share her experience of being terminated by a company after posting a video discussing her job online.
Akorede, who had just been hired, added that she had not even started her first shift when the sack letter came.
In a prior video, she was seen proudly showcasing her employment at the company, highlighting the associated social status.
“..I just came back from my job in Harolds. I am officially that babe. Where does your Mum work? Where does your Dad work? Where do I work? In Harolds..” she said in the video posted on her Ticktock handle @Korrxxs.
However, the story takes a twist when the company got hold of the social media bragging and fire her. She contemplates the identity of the individual responsible for bringing the video to the attention of her employer,
Reflecting on the incident, the lady emphasized the valuable lesson learned about refraining from sharing positive news on the internet.
