A Nigerian man simply as Babafemi has died of COVID-19 in Tucurvi in Sao Paulo province of Brazil.
According to a source who spoke with Eko Hot Blog, the deceased was an indigene of Ile Ife in Osun State, South West Nigeria.
The man died after losing a long hard fought battle with the virulent infection.
In a video seen by Eko Hot Blog, the remains of the deceased was being swaddled in a white fabric by front line workers who were decked in PPE for eventual cremation.
Also in the video, a grief-stricken and inconsolable woman who appears to be wife of deceased, was crying profusely and uttering spiritual words in the hope that such would bring back her husband.
According to the wife, the man came into the medical facility he died in relatively healthy but he was leaving as a dead man.
She beseeched him to wake up, to come back to life, reminding him that he had kids and mother at home.
