VIDEO: Why Sanwo-Olu Deserves A Second Term As Lagos Governor – Dabiri-Erewa

Eko Hot Blog reports that the Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has sought support for the reelection efforts of Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

In a video Dabiri-Erewa released on Monday, she urged Lagos residents to troop out on Saturday, March 18, 2023, to reward Sanwo-Olu’s achievements with their votes.

“I am urging you to reelect Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as our governor for a second term. His performance in the last four years speaks for itself,” she said in the video.

The video showcases Sanwo-Olu’s landmark achievements in the traffic management and transportation sectors.

The Lagos Blue Line Rail

The accomplishments include the Blue Line Rail project, a 27.5 km rail system that runs from Marina to Okokomaiko; Newly refurbished Waterways Monitoring and Data Management Centre; Construction of 3.7 km road network, including Thompson Avenue, Milverton, Lateef Jakande, MacDonald road; Iba Flyover Interchange, Ojo; Procurement of 550 high and medium capacity buses.

Dabiri-Erewa also highlighted the governor’s achievements in health and environment, which include the Oxygen Centre, Gbagada; Mother and Child Centre, Badagry; Isolation Centre, Onikan; and the Newly commissioned Peace Park, Ojota.

The NiDCOM boss further listed Sanwo-Olu’s exploits in education and technology.

She showcased accomplishments such as Elemoro Junior Secondary School, Ibeju Lekki; Lago State Baptist Secondary School, Orile Agege; Lago State Girls Junior Model College, Agunfoye Ikorodu; Lago State Model College, Agbowa, Epe; St. Joseph Secondary School, Mushin; newly built 18 classroom block at Abesan High School, Ikeja; Eva Adelaja Junior Secondary School, Bariga; and the Lagos State Junior Model College, Meiran.

Others are the distribution of EKO Excel tablets to teachers; Interactive Board at Vetland Junior Secondary School, Agege; award of brand new cars at the Annual Teachers’ Merit Awards, and installation of 2,000 CCTV cameras across the state.

Dabiri-Erewa stated that Sanwo-Olu has also made progress in his aspiration to make Lagos a 21st century economy.

She said the governor’s efforts include the Commissioning of the 32 metric tons per hour rice mall at Imota, Ikorodu; Empowerment of farmers with tractors, boats, and agricultural equipment; and the Lekki Deep Seaport.

“No wonder dem dey call am Mr Infrastructure,” the NiDCOM chairman said in pidgin.

Speaking further in Yoruba, Dabiri-Erewa urged the Lagos electorate to come out en masse to releect Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat.

“A vote for this duo will be a vote for a greater rising Lagos; a vote for positive continuity; a good vote for your Lagos, my Lagos, our Lagos. That is the right and reasonable thing to do.
