VIDEOS: Nigerian Journalist Harassed By LASTMA Officials
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Nigerian journalist, Ayo Bello, was on Friday attacked by officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) at Anthony area.
In a video sighted by this reporter, Bello was manhandled by some LASTMA officers as he got down from a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) to use his camera to capture a moment he felt was newsworthy.

One LASTMA official could be heard querying Bello in Yoruba language on his reason for wanting to use the camera.
Road users in Lagos often decry harassment and extortion by LASTMA officers.
LASTMA is a Lagos State-owned agency under the Ministry of Transportation. The Lagos government said the agency was established “to transform the state transportation system to ensure free flow of traffic in the state and also reduce road accidents”.
