WAEC Launches Digital Platform for Easy Retrieval of 2024 WASSCE Certificates

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has streamlined access to the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) certificates through its digital platform.

This platform allows candidates to securely obtain and share their certificates with educational institutions worldwide EKO HOT BLOG reports.

To access their 2024 WASSCE certificates, candidates should follow these steps:

  1. Visit WAEC’s website.
  2. Click on “Access Certificate.”
  3. Enter your email and password.
  4. Use your National Identification Number (NIN), Bank Verification Number (BVN), or international passport number for identity verification.

Candidates can also generate a Virtual National Identification Number (VNIN) by dialing 3463NIN696739# from their registered phone.

Launched in October 2022 under the leadership of Patrick Areghan, the WAEC Digital Certificate Platform is designed for over 30 million certificate holders. It addresses issues like lost, damaged, or burnt certificates and allows real-time certificate verification. The platform is accessible via web and mobile devices, making it easy to recover certificates from 1999 onwards, download them, and share them securely. It also helps candidates recover forgotten or lost examination numbers.
