WAFU B U-20: Flying Eagles Beat Niger Republic To Face Ghana In Final

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles staged a comeback to secure a 2-1 victory over Niger Republic in the WAFU Zone B tournament semi-finals in Togo on Sunday, earning a spot in the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Aliyu Suberu-led team will face long-time rivals Ghana in Wednesday’s final.

Ghana advanced after a 2-1 win over Côte d’Ivoire in the tournament’s first semi-final match, also played on Sunday.

The Flying Eagles aim to defend the WAFU Zone B title they captured in 2022 under former coach Ladan Bosso.
