Despite a 1-0 loss to Burkina Faso in their opening game, this crucial victory ensured the team’s advancement to the semi-finals of the tournament.
According to Sharif Abdallah, the media officer for the Flying Eagles, Ndidi awarded the team the monetary reward after their success against Côte d’Ivoire.

The Flying Eagles will face Niger Republic in the semi-finals on Saturday, with kickoff scheduled for 4 PM. In the other semi-final, Ghana will clash with Côte d’Ivoire.
