Wale Anomo Unveils Ambitious 2024 Budget For Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA

Eko Hot Blog reports that Hon. Akogun Wale Anomo, the Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area, has presented the 2024 fiscal appropriation bill to the Legislative Arm of the Council.

He submitted the budget, christened the “Budget of Consolidation and Renewed Transformation,” on Thursday, January 18, 2023.
In his address, Anomo expressed gratitude to attendees, as he reflected on the collective journey and the strides witnessed in the LCDA since his assumption of office, emphasizing unity and shared commitment as the bedrock of the success recorded.
He said, “I want to thank every one of you present here today to witness the unveiling of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA 2024 budget. It is my pleasure to journey with you since I assumed office.
“Together, we have been able to carry live changing initiatives. Without you, it would not have been possible. I still want us to continue with the love and unity, we started with, as they have been the bedrock of every successful things we have recorded.”
The Chairman highlighted the budget’s prioritization of the key sectors of Education, Healthcare, Infrastructure, and Economic empowerment, outlining a roadmap for innovation, inclusivity, and sustainable progress.
The budget, he asserted, serves as a catalyst for positive change and a beacon of hope, illuminating the path towards a brighter and more prosperous future for Ikosi-Ejinrin.
Anomo urged for collective efforts to build bridges, break barriers, and inspire transformative dreams within the LCDA.
“There is no need for bad blood. We need to come together as one, forgive one another, build bridges, break barriers, so that we will be able to inspire and achieve our transformative bridges within the LCDA,” he added.
Acknowledging key stakeholders, including Legislators led by Hon. Mustapha Hassan, the Vice Chairman, Alhaji Wasiu Dehinsilu and other members of the Executive Cabinet, the Management team, highly revered traditional rulers, gazetted Chiefs, CDC and CDA’s, Religious leaders, Artisans, and all contributors to the community. He emphasized their collaboration as crucial to the shared vision for a thriving and harmonious Ikosi-Ejinrin.
He further called upon community members to fulfill their role as worthy collaborators by contributing levies, dues, rents, and rates, thus boosting the Internally Generated Revenue of the Council.
“My people have been awesome. I appreciate their unwavering support since my inception. They have been worthy collaborators in the success we have achieved so far. I will like to call on them to continue to support us. Those who have been found wanting in their contribution of levies, rents, dues and rates should do their best to contribute their quota. With this we can boost our internally generated revenue and will be able to achieve more this year,” he urged.
Hon. Hassan Mustapha, Leader of the legislative Council, praised the Chairman and the Executive Cabinet for their dedication and unwavering commitment towards transforming Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA. He recognized the positive change in narratives through direct programs, projects, and facilitations.

Hon. Mustapha affirmed the legislature’s statutory duty, in line with the 1999 constitution, to scrutinize and expedite the passage of the appropriation bill into law. He assured that the Legislators would accord the budget the prompt attention it deserves.
The budget presentation witnessed the presence of Members of the Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA Executive cabinet, Management team, Gazetted Chiefs, and other dignitaries.
