Lawmaker representing Epe Federal constituency at the National Assembly, Hon Tansir Wale Raji, has waded into the problem of erratic power supply besetting some Community Development Associations at some of his Federal Constituencies, Epe local Government and Eredo Local Council Development Areas.
The intervention, which sparked elation and jubilation among members of the CDAs took place on Sunday, August 8th 2021 at Itesiwaju CDA, Ogunse, Ward A6, Epe and Aseyori CDA, Iraiye II, Ward M1, Eredo LCDA respectively.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that at Itesiwaju CDA, a cheque of 715,000 Naira was presented to the CDA Chairman, Alhaji Asegere.
While thanking the MHR for his kind gesture, the CDA members appealed to Rep Raji to help facilitate an electric transformer to enhance socio-economic activities and a better standard of living in their community.
Hon Rasheed Olorunju Oluwo, Ward A6 Councillor and Majority Leader of Epe LG Legislature, immensely appreciated the MHR for his timely intervention.
Meanwhile, members of the Aseyori CDA, Iraiye, Eredo LCDA, also met with the MHR. Present at the gathering were Mrs Stella Dolapo Odufisan, Mr Mahmud Agbaraojo, Hon Ibrahim Oluseyi, former Ward M1 Councillor, Hon Bola Iberu, members of the CDA and Youth leaders.
Having listened to the plight of residents in the CDA as discussed by Hon Bola Iberu, Hon Wale Raji, therefore, presented a cheque of 700,000 Naira to the CDA Chairman, Mr Oladipo Abiodun, for the cost of materials needed to fix the problem. The MHR pledged to look into the construction of inner roads, schools and youth programs in the CDA and the entire Epe federal constituency.
Speaking in an interview with Ekohotblog, Hon Wale Raji used the medium to appreciate his constituents for the unwavering support and love shown during his electioneering campaign.
He further reiterated his commitment to serve his constituents through life-changing programs. While noting that it was painful to discover that youths are caught in the habit of selling off empowerment equipment, he urged the youths to desist from such acts as it defeats the very essence of the empowerment initiative.
Hon Wale Raji also revealed some of his plans for the coming year, which he said is already in the offing.
“I thank God for the opportunity to be called upon to intervene. As it stands at the National Assembly, Epe Federal constituency as a voice, this is because the quality representation depends on the personality sent. That is the more reason why we should stop sending mediocre to the house.
“I will include the construction of more schools in the 2022 budget.
I’ve spoken with the Deputy Governor of Lagos, Dr Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat on the need to resuscitate Epe Plywood; this will help our youths to stay out of crime, transform and engage them to live sustainably,” he averred.

Hon Wale Raji, who stated that his qualitative and responsive representation has ranked Epe federal constituency amongst the top 15 out of the 360 representatives in the country also revealed that he has plans for 40 women in each ward and transporters across Epe.
” I want our women in rural communities to also sit down and discuss their progress. For sustainable living, 40 women per ward will be granted 1 million naira to start a cooperative society by November.
Also, Epe United Transporters Cooperative Society will take off with vehicles and “Keke” worth 15 million naira. I’ve spoken with the Employment Trust Fund to support the unions with additional money. They will be returning 50,000 Naira yearly,” Wale Raji stated.
