Rep. Wale Raji, a member representing Epe Federal Constituency in the house of Assembly,has launched a five-day Entrepreneurship Training and Empowerment Program for 100 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Epe to strengthen small businesses and promote economic self-sufficiency.
Ekohotblog reports that training, which began on Monday, March 3, 2025, at the Epe Local Government Council Chambers, Ita Marun, is being held in collaboration with the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and Dorcella Company Limited.

It will run until Friday, March 7, 2025, equipping market men, women, and micro-business owners with essential skills to thrive in a rapidly evolving economy.
Speaking at the opening session, Rep. Wale Raji emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship in driving local economic growth.
“This initiative is about empowering our people with the knowledge and skills needed to expand their businesses, create job opportunities, and build a more prosperous Epe,” he said.
The program is led by Mr. Hassan Temidayo, a seasoned academic, life coach, and business start-up consultant with expertise in agrarian extension and communication.
Participants are being trained in business orientation, entrepreneurship fundamentals, creativity, innovation, ICT in enterprise management, and business planning.
Several beneficiaries expressed their appreciation, describing the training as an eye-opener. Mrs. Kafayat ,a local food vendor, shared, “I have learned better ways to manage my business finances and use digital tools to attract more customers.
This knowledge will help me grow.” Similarly, Mr. Balogun, a fashion designer, noted, “The ICT session has been very enlightening. I now understand how to market my products beyond Epe using digital platforms.”
As the program continues, facilitators encourage participants to maximize the opportunity and apply the insights gained to their businesses.
