Member representing Epe Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, Hon Wale Raji has expressed shock over the demise of Lagos socialite, Dr Bayo Kadiri.

As earlier reported by Eko Hot Blog, Dr Bayo Kadiri, a senior banker and author, passed away on Thursday, August 19, and was buried according to Islamic rites on Friday, August 20, 2021, at his Iraye residence in Epe.
Following his demise, former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeyemi Sabit Ikuforiji, as well as Alhaji Saliu-Okulu, retired Comptroller-General of Customs and Baameto of Epe Kingdom, have paid heartfelt tributes to the socialite, describing him as a man whose intellectual acumen stood him apart from his contemporaries.
Reacting to Dr Kadiri’s demise, Hon. Wale Raji said humanity had lost a rare gem whose passion to help those in need preceded his reputation.
Hon Raji said he had a phone conversation with Dr Kadiri only a few days ago during which they deliberated and shared ideas on moving Epe Division towards greater heights.
The Lawmaker recalled how Dr Kadiri, during his years as a senior banker at Union Bank had used his privileged position to help countless people who had come to depend on him for assistance on various levels.
He described Dr Kadiri’s demise as a reflection of our inevitable mortality, and why it is expedient for one to live a live of impact and purpose.

Wale Raji also prayed for the repose of the deceased’s soul. He urged the bereaved family to take comfort in the hugely impactful and fulfilled life the socialite lived and the legacies he has bequeathed to posterity that will continue to define his name long after his demise.
