War: Ivory Coast Evacuates Citizens, Diplomats From Lebanon

The Ivory Coast government evacuated its ambassador, diplomatic staff, and several nationals from Lebanon on Saturday due to escalating regional conflict, according to a statement from the foreign ministry.

The evacuation included around 100 Ivorian citizens residing in Lebanon, with approximately 60 expressing a desire to return home.

Ivory Coast organized this repatriation operation in response to “the increasing tensions between the Israeli army and Hezbollah fighters,” the ministry explained.

Around 20 individuals departed on Friday, and additional citizens will be flown out as seats become available on commercial flights, the ministry added.
