Ekohotblog reports that Adetola Sodiq Onabajo, a prominent councillorship candidate for Ward L1 in Eredo LCDA, has taken significant steps to support youth empowerment in Epe.
Recently, he and Hon. Tijani Saheed eedorf, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Lagos State Governor on Wealth Creation, visited a job-creation center under construction in Epe.
The center aims to provide employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for young people in the area.
This job-creation center is part of a broader initiative to equip Epe’s youth with valuable skills to promote self-employment and economic independence.
These skills include modern Information and Communication Technology (ICT) training, giving young people essential tools to succeed in a technology-driven world.
During the visit, Onabajo shared his vision for the community, stating, “This project is one of many plans I have for Ward L1. By empowering our youth and supporting the elderly, we can create a strong and self-sufficient community.”
Hon. Seedorf praised the initiative, saying, “The Lagos State Government is committed to creating jobs and empowering young people, and this job-creation center in Epe aligns with our objectives. With leaders like Adetola Onabajo, we are confident that Epe’s youth will have access to significant opportunities.”
Onabajo’s leadership focuses on four key areas: Sustainable Development, Youth Empowerment, Support for the Aged, and Community Growth.
A local resident expressed support for Onabajo, stating, “We need leaders like Adetola who think ahead and care about the future of our youth and the wellbeing of our elders. He has shown us that, with the right leadership, our community can thrive.”
