The West African Examination Council, WAEC, has extended the registration of West Africa Senior Secondary Certification Examination, WASSEC for private candidates.
WAEC extended its registration for private candidates to August 28, 2020.
This was disclosed via the official Twitter handle @waecnigeria of WAEC on Wednesday, 29 July.
“This is to inform intending candidates of WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2020-Second Series, that the closing date of registration for the examination has been extended to Friday, August 28, 2020,” it tweeted.

Ekohotblog recalls that this is coming few days after the Federal Government had approved the reopening of secondary schools across the country.
