We Are On Top Of Edo, Ondo Disagreement – APC

THE National Reconciliation Committee of the All Progressives Congress ( APC), led by the former Osun State Governor and interim National Chairman, Chief Bisi Akande, has said it’s on top of the crisis rocking the Edo State chapter of the party

A member of the committee, who spoke in confidence, said some petitions were received from party members ahead the June 22 governorship primary in Edo State and that the committee would attend to the petitions.

He said: “We have received petitions from Edo State and from members from other states. We are assiduously working on them. But, for the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown that has slowed down our activities, I am sure that all the difference shall be resolved before the primaries in Edo and Ondo states.

“Some of the issues raised in the petitions require due diligence and wider consultations. I may not be able to divulge some of these issues so as not to jeopardize our efforts.”

When contacted, Chief Akande declined to comment.

In a terse response to our enquiry, he said, “My committee is created by APC. It may be unethical for me to report to the party through the Press. My committee’s office is in Abuja where all memoranda received are being worked upon”.
