We Created The Syllabus Of Music — Wande Coal

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Wande Coal, the renowned Nigerian singer and songwriter, recently asserted that he and his former producer and recordboss, Don Jazzy, were responsible for creating “the syllabus of music.” According to Wande Coal, their work served as a blueprint for many artists who drew inspiration from their sound and style.

During a recent interview with Cool FM in Lagos, Wande Coal expressed his deep connection with Don Jazzy, emphasizing their shared energy and creative synergy.

He highlighted how their collaborative efforts consistently yielded remarkable results, stating, “Me and Don Jazzy have always had a bond. He knows I always come with energy. Even in the studio, I’m always pumped. I’m like, yo, let’s do this sound. And he makes sure he kills it.”

Wande Coal went on to suggest that their musical partnership had a profound impact on the Nigerian music industry.

He confidently stated, “So, it’s like a symbiotic relationship. I feel like me and Don Jazzy created the syllabus of music. We created a syllabus of music, and a lot of people read that and then took what they had to take to create their own. And that is what is happening now.”

He believed that this ongoing process of artistic evolution was a natural progression, adding, “There is no problem with that as long as we are still here making magic with the new generation’s sounds.”
