We Don’t Yet Have A Goalkeeper Yet- Super Eagles Fans Point Out

  • Maduka Okoye not yet world-class goalkeeper- Super Eagles fans assert

EKO HOT BLOG reports that fans of the Nigerian national football team, the Super Eagles have insisted that the national team handlers can not rely on Maduka Okoye to solve the goal keeping problem in the team. Despite Okoye’s commendable exploits for Nigeria in Cameroon thus far, a vox-pop conducted by EKO HOT BLOG immediately after Nigerian’s last game against Sudan, reveals that a lot of Nigerians are not yet impressed with Okoye, insisting he was not world-class yet. The question asked was if they felt Okoye was world-class enough to solve Eagles goalie crisis.

Maduka Okoye, EKO HOT BLOG reports, has kept in two games for the Super Eagles in the African Cup Of Nations currently taking place in Cameroon. He kept a clean sheet in Nigeria’s one goal victory over Egypt, and conceded a goal through the penalty spot, in the team’s last game against Sudan. He may however be rested in Nigeria’s last group D game on Wednesday against Guinea Bissau, as the team has all but secured their passage into the round of 16, after garnering 6 points in their first two games.
