EKO HOT BLOG reports that Abdullahi Adamu, National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, has stated that the party has no regrets fixing the presidential nomination forms at N100 million, insisting that it was a deliberate ploy to discourage non-serious candidates from infiltrating the party and causing confusion.
Mr Abiodun Abayomi Oyebanji, the APC’s gubernatorial flagbearer in the upcoming Ekiti governorship election, was also brought to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari, according to Adamu, who noted that it was also raised to mobilize sufficient funds to run the elections.
He arrived at the Presidential Villa in Abuja with the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum and Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi; the Governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu; and the APC’s National Secretary, Iyiola Omisore.
Remember that since the ruling party set the price of presidential nomination forms at N100 million, there has been public outrage and differing opinions on the decision.
