According to him, after the #EndSARS protest last year, many Lagosians and Nigerians by extension, had lost faith in the Lagos state government; hence, it was crucial to work assiduously to regain the confidence of the people.
Babajide Sanwo-Olu went further to shed ample light on how his administration has been tackling the coronavirus pandemic.

The governor noted that the COVID-19 pandemic which has killed no fewer than 1500 Nigerians, has had Lagos as its nerve centre ostensibly due to its population density and the commercial traffic driven by the state on a daily basis.
Babajide Sanwo-Olu said that his government is committed to keeping Lagos state safe, which is why the State Government has budgeted billions of Naira to enable the state government fight coronavirus.
Babajide Sanwo-Olu said that the budgeted funds will be used to buy nose masks, hand sanitizers and also provide palliatives to the poor masses living in the state.
