We Will Not Condone Cultism- Lasu V.C Says As Students Resume New Semester

  • LASU calls for applications into part time post-graduate programs

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the vice chancellor of the Lagos State university, Lasu, Prof. Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, has read the riot acts to students, as they resume for the new semester.

In a statement titled ‘Resumption of New Semester’, contained on their official Instagram page, Prof Bello, stressed that the university will not condone cultism and other societal vices, in the new semester.

“My dear world class students, happy new year and happy resumption to you. I pray that this semester will be your best yet; you will overcome every hurdle on your path and you will finish well.

This semester, we are determined to enhance your learning experience in the university and give you all the support you need to make you more globally competitive.

Starting from the end of this semester, we will reward our scholars with 50% refund of their school fees as I promised when I became your Vice Chancellor. We will also encourage every of our students who does the university proud in local and international competitions, while ensuring that the learning environment is more stimulating and conducive for you.

On behalf of every academic and non-academic staff in the university, I assure that we will work to help you in every way possible to optimize your time in the university.

I therefore encourage you to give your socio-academic pursuit this semester your best shot. Work very hard and refuse every temptation to cut corners. Say NO to Cultism, Rape, Drugs, Examination Malpractices, Indecent Dressing and every form of vices because these shall not be tolerated by our administration; indeed, we shall deal with anyone found culpable in line with our regulations. This is your part in making LASU the best in West Africa. Play it well.

On behalf of the Governing Council, Senate, Management and Staff of the university, I wish you a rewarding semester ahead..” The Vice Chancellor siad.

In other news, EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Lagos State University, has advertised for entries into their part time post-graduate programs for the 2021/20220 academic session. This was gathered from their website.

“ADMISSION INTO PART TIME DEGREE PROGRAMS FOR THE 2021/2022 ACADEMIC SESSION. The Lagos State University School of Part-Time Studies invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Lagos State University Part-Time Degree Programs for the 2021/2022 Academic Session. The programs is domiciled at the Lagos State University, Ojo Campus.” The school informed.

The school further informed that interested candidates should visit the university’s online pages for requirements needed before applying.
