Ikorodu part of Lagos State has been faced with serious crises caused by rivalry between two cult groups for the past few months. Despite great efforts by police in arresting them, the cult groups are still carrying out their atrocities.
His royal majesty, Oba Bldr. Abdul Ganiyu Aderibigbe Asunmo (FNIOB), Alayandelu of Odo-Ayandelu in Ikosi-Ejinrin, speaking in an interview with BBC Yoruba, disclosed that when he invited prominent members from the two groups, he deduced that the fight between the cult groups is a fight for superiority.
According to him, he has called on some other monarchs to look for the way out on how they will invite the cultists together. According to him, they all agreed that if the rival cult groups clash again, they will bring out the ‘Oro Cult’ to chase them.
