ARSENAL: BALOGUN LATEST
Sky Sports News’ Dharmesh Sheth on The Transfer Show:
“Arsenal want to keep Folarin Balogun, but talks over a new contract have so far failed to reach a resolution, with six months left on his deal. As it stands, a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club is the most likely scenario at the moment, unless Arsenal can do a last-ditch attempt to convince him to stay.”
ARSENAL RETURN FOR TORREIRA?
Arsenal technical director Edu has indicated Lucas Torreira’s loan deal at Atletico Madrid could be cut short.
“The situation is very simple. Arsenal are concerned about Torreira, his happiness, that he plays and that he is well,” he told AS.
“We want to know about him how he feels and, later, of course, know what Atletico thinks. For us, Lucas and his happiness is what’s more important. If everyone is happy, we will continue like this, if Lucas is not well, we will look for a change because there are many teams that are calling me to ask about the player’s situation.”

Chelsea fans want Ndidi instead of Rice
Chelsea, though, have maintained their interest in West Ham’s Declan Rice, although they are highly unlikely to launch a move for him this month, with the Hammers continuing to demand a hefty-sized transfer fee.
But given Wilfred Ndidi’s first-half performance against the Blues, some Chelsea supporters are now calling on transfer guru – Marina Granovskaia – to switch her focus and launch a move for Ndidi instead.
The Super Eagles midfielder is also linked with a move to Real Madrid.
Lampard admits Chelsea future is out of his hands
Frank Lampard admits his future is not in his control as pressure mounts on his position as Chelsea manager. Chelsea were deservedly beaten 2-0 at Leicester on Tuesday night, a result which saw the Blues lose ground in the race for European qualification as Brendan Rodgers’ side went top.
