Eko Hot Blog reports that Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni has issued a warning to Manchester City, stating that his team will seek revenge when they face off in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals next month.
Recall that Man City defeated Madrid 5-1 on aggregate when both teams clashed in the semi-final encounter last season.
Real Madrid have been drawn against City three seasons in a row now.
During a recent interview, Tchouameni discussed the prospect of facing Pep Guardiola’s team once more this season, stating (via Madrid Universal):
“We are Real Madrid, we can’t be afraid. They knocked us out last year and we’ll be out for revenge, we will want to show who Real Madrid is.
“To be the best, you have to beat the best. We’ll take game after game to lift the trophy in June.”
Madrid face City on April 9, the day before Atletico welcome Dortmund to the Spanish capital. Likewise, Barcelona’s first leg against PSG is set for April 10.
Holders City must overcome Real once again to defend their crown after trouncing the 14-time winners last season in the semi-final en route to claiming the treble.
