‘We’re Yet To Receive Word From The FBI On Abba Kyari’ – AGF

  • According to Gwandu, everything will be done according to the rule of law and based on the dictates of the extant provisions of the law.

 

The Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice has said that it is yet to receive official information on the arrest warrant issued against a Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, by the Federal Bureau of Investigation(FBI) in the United States.

Recall that the arrest warrant was issued following the indictment of Kyari in a $1.1million cyber fraud involving Instagram Big boy Ray Hushppuppi.

Umar Gwandu, an aide to the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), who disclosed this in an interview with Newsmen said that a transfer process would not begin until there is an official invitation from the United States to that effect. 

According to Gwandu, everything will be done according to the rule of law and based on the dictates of the extant provisions of the law.

“There is no official communication to that effect.
