What Messi Said About Mason Mount Last Year Is Gradually Becoming A Reality

Considered by many as the best footballer in the world, and also one of the greatest of all time, it will be worthy of note to take a recommendation from someone like Messi very serious, due to what he has achieved in world football.
Messi has seen it all and also done it all at club level, as his list of awards and trophies through out his football career is just endless.

During an interview last year, the Barcelona captain was asked to name a couple of young stars who he feels will be the ones to watch and look out for in the future, and one of such names Lionel Messi mentioned was Chelsea’s Mason Mount.

The young Chelsea midfielder has been a shining talent at Stamford bridge, ever since breaking into the blues team last season under ex-manager Frank Lampard.

Mount has consistently proved to be a star in the making despite negative comments about his performances from the media, he keeps on proving his critics and doubters wrong, game after game, EKO HOT BLOG gathered.

His last performance against Porto last night where he got Chelsea’s opening goal in the first leg of the UCL encounter, courtsey of a well taken goal, only but proves the enormous talent he has.

Little wonder Lionel Messi was quick to point out 22 year old Mason Mount, as one of the stars for the future during an interview last year.

The Argentine, speaking about Mason Mount had this to say, “Having watched him play he has the potential to be one of the best”.

And now in 2021, the young English man is indeed proving to be one of the very best in Europe at the moment, as he remains one of the most outstanding players for Chelsea this season, and also a regular under Gareth Southgate in the England squad.
