What Must Be Done To Rebuild Nigeria – Osinbajo

  • VP says there are cracks in Nigeria wall

Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, says the citizens have a vital role to play in ensuring that Nigeria is rebuilt and put in its proper position in the committee of nations.

Osinbajo said this when he spoke at the Independence Day Interdenominational Church Service at the National Christian Centre in Abuja on Sunday.

Osinbajo, who was represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, said love and unity will go a long in rebuilding and solving the plethora of challenges bedevilling Nigeria.

The VP, who spoke on the theme: “Together, come let us rebuild”, implored Nigerians to be actively involved in national development through relentless vigour.

Making reference to a biblical event, he urged Christians in Nigerians to inculcate the spirit of selflessness shown by Nehemiah regarding his role in building the wall of Jerusalem

“The concern of Nehemiah was borne out of the love he had for his nation that prompted him to seek permission to rebuild the walls. We need such love to rebuild the cracks that we have in our nation.

“Fortunately for us, our walls are not yet broken but have cracks that could break if not properly addressed. We need to seek the face of God to address the broken walls”, NAN quoted him as saying.
