What Nigeria Must Do To Address Insecurity – Jigawa Gov.
- We must turn to God and pray hard for peace to reign in the nation
The Jigawa State Governor Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar has said the country seriously needs divine intervention to overcome the plethora of challenges that plague it.
The Governor said this while addressing the council of ulama during a courtesy call on him at the state Government House in Dutse, the state capital.
Abubakar said this in reaction to the deepening security crisis across the country.
There has been an inexorable rise in criminal activities and violent attacks as non-state actors unleash terror on citizens and wreak havoc across the country.

Ekohotblog had also reported that the Boko Haram insurgents have taken over many towns in Yobe, Borno, and Niger states, further consolidating their drive of establishing an Islamic state.
Addressing the ulama on Wednesday, Abubakar stressed the importance of seeking God’s face amid the dispiriting state of the nation.
According to the Governor, “Nigeria now needs divine intervention more than ever as the security situation worsens in all parts of the country in recent times.
“Ramadan period is a time when Allah Subhanahu wata’ala accepts prayers and as we battle with many challenges in the country, we must turn to God and pray hard for peace to reign in the nation.”

He urged the council of ulama and citizens to pray for the end of insecurity in the country.
