WHO Ex-director, Adetokunbo Lucas Is Dead

  • President Muhammad Buhari expressed his condolences on Monday, on death of  Adetokunbo Oluwole
  • Buhari praised him for his remarkable support of tropical research, diseases.

A medical specialist, Adetokunbo Oluwole Lucas, passed away at 89 years old. He was a Professor of International Health at Harvard University, Boston.

Lucas spent a decade as director of research and training on tropical diseases at the World Health Organization, EKO HOT BLOG  gathered.

“Nigeria, The fact is that the world has lost a public health specialist.,” President Muhammadu Buhari stated in his condolence message on Monday.

According  to him, Lucas is a world leader in healthcare for his outstanding support of tropical research, diseases especially malaria, bilharzia and leprosy.

“Professor Lucas has made himself known far beyond the shores of Nigeria.”, the President added.
