Why APC In Enugu Should Be Restructured – Former Senate President, Nnamani
- Nnamani said that it is true that members of the APC were growing in Enugu state, but he noted that its success depends on winning elections. To make that possible, Nnamani said there was a need to rejig the party.
The failure of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to win elections in the South-East state of Enugu has been described by one of its national leaders as shameful.
Ken Nnamani, former senate president and member of the APC national caretaker committee representing the South-East zone, said on Saturday in Enugu that he felt ashamed that after seven years, the party was yet to make an imprint in the state.

“I feel ashamed of being in a party that does not win elections,” Nnamani told party faithful at the sitting of the APC Ward Congress Appeal Committee.
Nnamani said that it is true that members of the APC were growing in Enugu state, but he noted that its success depends on winning elections. To make that possible, Nnamani said there was a need to rejig the party.
“That is why we want to rejig the party to bring in leaders who will not use it for business. However, we are beginning to see a new horizon and are determined to do something differently with the new leadership we now have,” he said.
Recall that the party had held its ward congress on July 31, and the appeal committee was inaugurated to look into the grievances arising from the exercise.
