Why I Decided to Study Law – Falz
Popular Nigerian rapper, Folarin Falana, known as Falz, has revealed that he did not feel pressured to pursue a career in law.
In a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Falz explained that while he wasn’t forced into law, he was deeply inspired by the work his father, renowned human rights lawyer Femi Falana, did for others during his childhood.
Falz shared, “I wouldn’t say it was pressure, but from a young age, whenever people heard my name, they’d ask, ‘Which Falana? Is it Femi Falana? Oh wow.’ Everyone seemed to have a story about how my dad helped them or fought for them. So, I wasn’t pressured; I just wanted to follow in his footsteps.”

He noted that his father’s dedication left a lasting impact, leading him to study law, although he only practiced for a brief period.
