American rapper Curtis Jackson, widely known as 50 Cent, recently disclosed that he turned down a $3 million offer to perform at a campaign rally for former President Donald Trump.

Trump, the Republican candidate, is currently seeking a second term in the upcoming U.S. presidential election set for November 5.

During an interview on The Breakfast Club, 50 Cent shared that he “received a call” regarding the offer and was also approached to perform his hit song “Many Men, Wish Death” at the Republican National Convention this year for a similar sum.

However, he declined both opportunities, citing his discomfort with engaging in politics, which he finds to be highly divisive. He stated, “I got a call, they wanted me for Sunday, and they offered me three million dollars for this past Sunday. I didn’t even go far back; I didn’t even talk to them about that kind of stuff. I’m afraid of politics. I do not like politics. It’s because when you do get involved in it, no matter how you feel, someone passionately disagrees with you.”

With just a week remaining until Election Day in the United States, polls show a close contest between former President Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris. Trump currently leads in key battleground states, while Harris maintains a slight edge nationally.

According to FiveThirtyEight’s daily election poll tracker, Harris is leading in the national polls by a narrow 1.4 percentage points, down from her previous 1.7-point lead last week. However, Trump’s strong performance in critical swing states like Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Georgia keeps the race competitive.

Both candidates have ramped up their campaign efforts in these battleground states, which include Michigan, Arizona, Wisconsin, and Nevada. While campaigning in Michigan, Harris vowed to “turn the page on fear and divisiveness,” emphasizing a focus on unity and change.
