A 38-year-old woman has been allegedly murdered by her husband for cooking ‘rice water’ for dinner.
The demised identified as Gladys Oforiwaa Kumi, was said to have prepared rice porridge for dinner for her husband whose name was given as JK when he was unable to give housekeeping money.
The unfortunate incident happened at Ohia-Tokrom, a village located in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
The uncle of the deceased, Nana Abunyaa has however confirmed the news.
He said the suspect returned from the farm to enjoy his food only to be served with rice pudding.
Nana Abunyaa said JK got angry, grabbed a knife and stabbed his wife multiple times, leading to her premature death.
The suspect is currently in police custody and will soon be processed to court.
