Wike, Makinde, Others, Pen Down Options, Plan To Take Over PDP Crisis
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and his allies in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday night met to hold a strategic meeting in Port Harcourt so as to arrive at a final position ahead of the 2023 general election.
This online media platform gathered that those in the Wike Camp include Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State, former Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State, former Governor Donald Duke of Cross River State and many others.

It was gathered that the Wike Camp decided to hold the meeting following the contentious vote of confidence passed on Dr. Iyorchia Ayu as national chairman by the National Executive Committee (NEC) despite their demand for his resignation.
According to The Nation, the meeting held late at night was summoned by the Rivers governor.

A source in Wike’s camp said: “Wike group is meeting tonight (Tuesday night) to take a major decision.”
Another source while speaking at the meeting told The Cable, “The likes of Okezie Ikpeazu, governor of Abia, and Samuel Ortom of Benue are not present but they sent word that they will abide by the outcome of the meeting.”
