Eko Hot Blog reports that former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, on Tuesday, visited the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.
This comes exactly a week after the ministerial designate visited President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
It is understood that speculations of him dumping the opposition party gained momentum after he made President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet.
Some PDP leaders had expressed displeasure over his nomination as a minister and have mulled the move to sanction the former Rivers governor.
Wike, who openly worked against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, in the 2023 election, has repeatedly denied plotting to join the ruling party.
He was accompanied by top Rivers State PDP leaders.
