Willie Obiano Earmarks 1.35 Billion For Banger, Christmas Decorations

Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has approved the sum of 1.35 billion naira for Christmas decoration and throwing of fire works, “banger” as part of preparations for the forthcoming Christmas and New year.

The governor also increased his security vote by fifty percent citing security challenges that arise during Christmas and New year celebrations.

But the approval of such huge amount of money has not gone down well with people of the state. They have accused the governor of spending recklessly the money meant to be used for other critical projects in the state.

The governor in his bid to make all the roads in the state motorable also approved the sum of #181,000, 000 for road maintenance.

This will help ensure that indigenes of the state who will be returning home for Christmas and New Year moves around freely on the roads without potholes.
