Woman Arraigned For Bathing Neighbour With Urine

34-year-old Sherifat Shakirudeen, has pleaded not guilty to the charge against her by a Lagos Magistrates’ Court sitting in Igbosere.

Sherifat was arrainged for alleged assaulting her neighbour, one Okon Bassey,  by bathing him with urine on his face and body.

The prosecutor, Cyriacus Osuji, revealed to the court that the offence was committed at about 6:00 a.m. on January 15, 2020, at No. 15, Adeseke Street, Oworonshoki area of Lagos.

According to him, the offence committed is punishable under Section 172, the law of Lagos 2015.

Magistrate Mrs. M.O. Ope- Agbe, granted her bail in the sum of N200,000, with one surety in like sum.

She said the surety must be gainfully employed, with office and house address verified.

The case was adjourned till March 19, for trial.
