BREAKING: D’Tigress Qualify For Women Basketball World Cup After Thrashing Mali

D’Tigress has qualified for the Women Basketball World Cup after a 73-69 win against Mali.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the D’Tigress survived a final quarter scare and held their own to see off fellow Africans Mali 74-69 to book the final Group B spot for the Women Basketball World Cup billed to hold in Australia this year.
The win means the Nigerians’ DTigress has officially qualified for the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup after two wins from three games on Sunday.
Having lost their first game 90-76 to China and finding themselves at the bottom of the qualifying group, they took the game to the French side winning the last three quarters 16-10, 21-14, and 19-13, after losing the first quarter 11-28.

However, DTigress have now qualified for a 2nd consecutive FIBA Women’s World Cup, beating their continental rivals, Mali in a pulsating final group match and will now be representing Africa in Australia later this year.
The World Cup is billed for September in Australia.
