BREAKING: D’Tigress Qualify For Women Basketball World Cup After Thrashing Mali

  • D’Tigress has qualified for the Women Basketball World Cup after a 73-69 win against Mali.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Women Basketball World Cup of Nigeria has officially qualified for the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup after beating Mali 73 – 69 to get two wins from three games on Sunday.

Having lost their first game 90-76 to China and finding themselves at the bottom of the qualifying group, they took the game to the French side winning the last three quarters 16-10, 21-14, and 19-13, after losing the first quarter 11-28.

However, DTigress have now qualified for a 2nd consecutive FIBA Women’s World Cup, beating their continental rivals, Mali in a pulsating final group match and will now be representing Africa in Australia later this year.

The World Cup is billed for September in Australia.
