EKO HOT BLOG reports a peculiar scene unfolded on Wednesday at the Ondo State Ministry of Justice as Charles Titiloye, the former Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General, faced jeers from workers after the dissolution of the State Executive Council by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa earlier in the day.
In a video circulating online, workers gathered around the commissioner’s office corridor, taunting him with abusive songs and chants, such as “Titiloye has locked himself up, he can’t step out.”
The protest continued until the commissioner exited the premises, facing an unrelenting chorus of disapproval from the workers, eventually requiring police intervention to restore calm.
Governor Aiyedatiwa’s announcement of the cabinet dissolution also extended to all Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants, with immediate effect. The affected officials were directed to hand over government properties in their possession.
The statement from the governor expressed gratitude to the dismissed officials for their services and contributions to the state’s development.
The governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, assumed office as the substantive governor on December 27, 2023, following the death of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, who had transferred power to Aiyedatiwa in December 2023 before traveling to Germany for medical treatment.
